Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Highlights Achievements of PM Modi’s Government in First 100 Days
New Delhi, India – Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently spoke about the significant achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in its first 100 days. He emphasized India’s development of its own 4G technology, making it one of the six countries globally to achieve this milestone.
4G Technology and Connectivity
Scindia highlighted that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has developed a 4G stack for BSNL, incorporating foreign technology and positioning India as a technology equipment producer. In the past 100 days, 7,258 towers have been erected, and full communication services have been provided in 9,560 villages.
He also mentioned the significant reduction in mobile and internet connectivity rates. Mobile rates have decreased from 51 paise per minute in 2014 to 3.5 paise per minute, and internet rates have dropped from 287 paise per GB to 8.75 paise per GB.
6G Vision Initiative
In March 2023, India launched the 6G Vision initiative, focusing on innovation and research. The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has processed 111 project proposals for funding and aims to establish 100 5G labs across various institutions, with 81 already set up.
Development in Northeastern Region
Scindia also spoke about the investments in the northeastern region. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, Rs 1,02,000 crore has been invested, a significant increase from Rs 24,819 crore in 2014. This investment has led to the establishment of 850 new schools and an investment of Rs 32,000 crore in healthcare, including the development of 18 cancer centers by the Tata Cancer Institute.
Upcoming Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav
Scindia announced the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav, scheduled for December 6-8 at Bharat Mandapam. This event will showcase handicrafts, handlooms, agricultural produce, crafts, and tourism from the eight northeastern states to both national and international audiences.
