Union Minister Jitendra Singh Talks About New Plans After Doda Encounter

In Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh discussed new strategies following an encounter with terrorists that resulted in the deaths of four soldiers. He mentioned that the government has developed some strategies that cannot be disclosed publicly. Additionally, Village Defence Guards (VDGs) will be revived and equipped with modern weapons.

Singh highlighted the communal harmony in Doda, noting that no migration occurred during the peak of terrorism in the 90s. He attributed recent violent activities to mischief from a neighboring country and assured that the government is taking action.

He emphasized that any peace in the Union Territory will be under the Modi government, citing the removal of Article 370 and the influx of 2.5 crore tourists as evidence of restored peace.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army is readjusting its deployments in response to the infiltration of highly trained Pakistani terrorists in the Jammu region. Around 500 Para Special Forces commandos have been deployed to hunt down the terrorists, and intelligence agencies are working to dismantle terrorist support structures.

On July 15, a joint operation by the Indian Army and JK Police in Doda led to an encounter on July 16, where four soldiers, including Captain Brijesh Thapa, were killed.
