Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi recently discussed the success of his party, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), which he formed in 2015 after parting ways with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United). Manjhi expressed pride in his party’s progress and thanked Nitish Kumar for doubting his ability to run the party, as it motivated him to succeed.

Manjhi also defended Nitish Kumar regarding the recent bridge collapses in Bihar, attributing them to unusually heavy monsoon rains. He emphasized that the Chief Minister is very sensitive towards the investigation of these incidents. In June, five bridges in Araria, Siwan, East Champaran, Kishanganj, and Madhubani districts collapsed due to the heavy rains.
