Union Minister Jayant Choudhary Praises President Murmu’s Speech in Parliament

New Delhi, June 27: Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Chief Jayant Choudhary praised President Droupadi Murmu’s joint address to the Parliament. He said the President delivered a message of solidarity and a clear vision for the country’s future.

Choudhary highlighted the President’s commendation of the Election Commission’s role in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the strength of India’s democratic institutions and the significant participation of women voters.

President Murmu assured that the upcoming Parliament sessions would include major economic and social decisions, with the first budget of the term reflecting the government’s long-term policies and vision. She congratulated the newly elected members of the 18th Lok Sabha and thanked the Election Commission for conducting peaceful elections.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Shambhavi Choudhary noted that first-time MPs learned a lot from the President’s address. She appreciated the President’s concise summary of the government’s achievements and future plans.

The President’s address also drew reactions from the opposition. President Murmu criticized the 1975 emergency imposed by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, calling it a dark chapter in India’s history. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using the President’s speech to gain cheap applause.
