Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy Criticizes Congress Government in Karnataka for Price Hikes

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for increasing the prices of petrol, diesel, and milk. He stated that these price hikes are to fund the government’s guarantees.

Kumaraswamy also mentioned that a meeting was held to strengthen the party organization. He said, “Today we had a lengthy meeting for the restructuring and development of the party organization. The party MLAs have given me the responsibility to select the new leader for the floor of the assembly.” He added that the new legislature party leader will be announced within two to three days after consultations with JD(S) National President HD Deve Gowda.

Regarding the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) plots, Kumaraswamy denied any scam, citing a statement from Urban Development Minister Bhairati Suresh. This comes after Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered an investigation into the allotment of MUDA plots. Siddaramaiah stated that the plots are on hold, and a senior IAS officer is leading the investigation, with a final decision to be made after the report is submitted.
