Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy Criticizes Deputy CM DK Shivakumar Over Shakti Scheme

In Bengaluru, Karnataka, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy expressed his strong displeasure with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar’s statement regarding the ‘Shakti Scheme’, which provides free bus services for women in the state. Speaking in Tittamarahalli village, Kumaraswamy questioned whether women or divine intervention prompted Shivakumar to consider ending the scheme.

Kumaraswamy argued that the review of the Shakti Scheme is a pretense to phase out state guarantees like Anna Bhagya, Gruha Jyothi, Gruha Lakshmi, and Yuva Nidhi. He criticized the government for halting development projects and increasing taxes, which he sees as exploitation.

He further accused the government of making unrealistic promises to win elections, which he believes are ruining the state’s economy. Kumaraswamy urged the government not to destroy the future of the next generation and to avoid pushing the state into bankruptcy.

Former minister BC Patil and several leaders from JD(S) and BJP were present with Kumaraswamy during his statements.
