Union Minister for Heavy Industries, HD Kumaraswamy, expressed confidence in his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s success in the Channapatna bypoll. He assured that the people of the region would support Nikhil, highlighting Channapatna as a stronghold for the NDA. Kumaraswamy addressed issues like the Waqf controversy and farmer protests in Vijayapura, stating that the central government is taking steps to resolve them.

He accused Congress of engaging in revenge politics and emphasized his focus on development. Kumaraswamy announced plans to establish a large industry between Channapatna and Ramnagara to provide local employment. He mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has entrusted him with significant portfolios, and he is committed to benefiting the people of Ramnagara district.

Regarding CP Yogeshwara joining Congress, Kumaraswamy explained that despite BJP’s plans, Yogeshwara joined Congress and is spreading false propaganda. He mentioned derogatory language used against him and his father but remained unfazed, trusting the people of Channapatna to decide.

During a public address in Kudluru village, he promised land deeds and government assistance for building homes. Yaduveer Wodeyar, MP for Mysore-Kodagu, accompanied him, praising Kumaraswamy’s active role in the cabinet and urging support for Nikhil. Wodeyar criticized the state Congress government for corruption and scandals.

Before campaigning, Kumaraswamy visited senior party leader TP Puttasiddhegowda’s residence with Yaduveer. In response to Congress candidate CP Yogeshwara’s criticism, Kumaraswamy highlighted his village visits as proof of his commitment.
