In New Delhi, Union Minister Giriraj Singh expressed his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) approaches a majority in the Haryana Assembly elections. Singh stated, “One Modi outweighs everyone combined,” highlighting the trust people have in Modi over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He emphasized that farmers and wrestlers support the BJP.

Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi and the Congress for backing the National Conference, led by Farooq Abdullah, who has controversial views on Kashmir and Article 370. Singh thanked the people of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir for their support.

According to the Election Commission, BJP candidates are leading in 48 of the 90 seats in Haryana, while Congress leads in 37. In Jammu and Kashmir, the NC-Congress alliance leads in 48 seats, with BJP leading in 29.

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a Congress candidate, remains hopeful about his party’s success, stating that Congress is nearing a majority. He mentioned that some vote counts are still pending and likened the situation to a game where the outcome is still uncertain.
