Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at Textile Investors’ Meet in Patna
On July 19, Union Minister Giriraj Singh attended the Textile Investors’ Meet in Patna, Bihar. He expressed his gratitude to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Minister Nitish Mishra for organizing the event.
Giriraj Singh highlighted the importance of the garment industry in providing employment, stating, “When a garment industry is set up, it provides employment in the region. After investing Rs 1 crore, around 50-70 people get employed.” He also praised the facilities provided by the Bihar government, which have built trust among industrialists.
Before the event, Giriraj Singh mentioned the significant progress made by Bihar’s workers in exporting textiles from Betiya and the establishment of a big industrial hub in Muzaffarpur, employing 10,000 people. He emphasized the importance of using green energy to support Prime Minister Modi’s goal of making India carbon neutral by 2030.
During the meet, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar discussed the demand for an airport in Begusarai and addressed law and order issues. He also promoted the event on social media, calling it a golden opportunity for new investors to explore the business potential of Bihar’s textile industry.
The event, known as Bihar Business Connect 2024, included speeches from various dignitaries, including Sandeep Poundrik, Rachna Shah, Brijesh Mehrotra, Nitish Mishra, and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.
