Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Criticizes Remarks by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha

In Hyderabad, Telangana, Union Minister and Telangana BJP Chief G Kishan Reddy expressed his disapproval of comments made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. Surekha had linked the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to Bharat Rashtra Samiti’s working President KT Rama Rao. Reddy criticized the language used by politicians in Telangana, stating it lacked dignity and urged the public and media to boycott such leaders.

Condemnation of Remarks

Reddy condemned the remarks, stating that BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao had introduced negative influences in Telangana society, which were being perpetuated by the current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He emphasized that it was inappropriate to comment on the personal lives of cinema actors.

Call for Decorum

Reddy highlighted the decline in the quality of political discourse over the past 10 to 15 years, noting that politicians were using disrespectful language towards women and society. He urged the people and media of Telangana to reject such behavior to prevent its spread.

Response from Konda Surekha

Following the controversy, Konda Surekha clarified her remarks on social media, stating her intention was to question KT Rama Rao’s treatment of women, not to offend Samantha Prabhu. She offered to retract her comments if they caused offense.
