Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Criticizes Congress for Disrupting Parliament

New Delhi [India], July 2: After a chaotic session in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused the Congress party of shaming the parliamentary system by not allowing their MP from Manipur to speak. He stated, “Congress party has shamed the country’s parliamentary system today. They did not give the chance to their MP from Manipur to speak.”

Pradhan also mentioned that Congress was not ready to listen to the truth and conspired to disrupt Prime Minister Modi’s speech. He added, “We expect the Congress party to restrain its behaviour in the interest of the country’s democracy.”

During PM Modi’s speech, the opposition raised slogans like “Manipur, Manipur” and “Tanashahi nahin chalegi”. Speaker Om Birla expressed his displeasure with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying his behaviour was not according to parliamentary traditions.

After PM Modi’s reply to the debate, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh moved a motion condemning the opposition’s behaviour, which was supported by Home Minister Amit Shah and adopted by the House by voice vote. The Lok Sabha was then adjourned sine die.
