Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid tribute to the renowned industrialist Ratan Tata, calling him one of India’s “Navratnas.” Ratan Tata, who was the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Pradhan expressed his admiration for Tata, describing him as a simple and affectionate person whose ideas and guidance were invaluable to the country.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also expressed his sorrow, highlighting Tata’s contributions to Jharkhand and his noble character. Tata’s mortal remains were moved to the Worli crematorium in Mumbai, where many gathered to pay their respects. Prominent figures like Union Ministers Amit Shah and Piyush Goyal, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, attended the last rites.

The Gujarat government declared a day of mourning in Tata’s honor, with the national flag flown at half-mast. Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was a significant figure in Indian industry and philanthropy, having led the Tata Group and received the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
