In Mumbai, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw criticized the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, claiming it hinders development. He emphasized that only the BJP and Mahyuti government can transform Maharashtra into a one trillion-dollar economy. Vaishnaw stated that the people of Maharashtra are determined to make the state prosperous and will support the BJP and Mahyuti government in the upcoming elections.

Vaishnaw accused the Congress of lacking a progressive mindset, stating that during its 60-year rule, development was not prioritized. He praised the infrastructure achievements under Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi’s leadership. He criticized the opposition for opposing projects like the metro and coastal road, which he believes are crucial for development.

Vaishnaw highlighted initiatives to enhance Mumbai’s local train service, including the installation of 301 km of new tracks with an investment of Rs 16,240 Crores. He announced the introduction of Kavach 5.0 technology to improve train capacity and reduce time gaps between trains.

Additionally, Vaishnaw revealed plans for the first Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) in Mumbai, aimed at harnessing technology in the creative industry. The Maharashtra Government has allocated land for this project in Goregaon, with construction set to begin after the elections.

Maharashtra will hold elections on November 20, with results announced on November 23.
