Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Criticizes Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks in Parliament
New Delhi [India], July 1: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statements in the Lok Sabha, accusing him of making irresponsible remarks and degrading the position of Leader of Opposition.
Irresponsible Statements
Vaishnaw stated that Rahul Gandhi has taken up the position of Leader of Opposition for the first time and has made very irresponsible statements, thus bringing the level of politics down. He mentioned that previous leaders like Atal Ji, Advani Ji, and Sushma Ji handled this responsibility with great care.
Refuting Claims
Vaishnaw refuted Gandhi’s claims about the Agniveer scheme, stating that martyrs under the scheme receive a compensation of Rs 1 crore, as clarified by the Defence Minister in Parliament. He also addressed Gandhi’s statements about compensation in Ayodhya, stating that Rs 1253 crore has been given to 4215 affected shopkeepers.
Insult to Hindu Community
Vaishnaw accused Gandhi of insulting the entire Hindu community by labeling them as violent. He mentioned past instances where Congress leaders made similar statements.
Rahul Gandhi’s Response
Rahul Gandhi responded by stating that BJP and RSS do not represent the entire Hindu society. He emphasized non-violence and fearlessness as core values in Hinduism and other Indian religions.
