Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandran Visit Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri
Puri (Odisha) [India], August 25: The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, along with the Minister of Law, Works and Excise, Prithviraj Harichandran, offered prayers at the Lord Jagannath temple in Puri on Sunday.
The Education Minister expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to pray at the temple. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Odisha on his birthday, September 17, to inaugurate the Subhadra Yojana.
Pradhan explained that the Subhadra Yojana would provide Rs 50,000 to women over five years, benefiting more than one crore women. He noted that the women are very happy and excited about the scheme.
Additionally, Navy Day celebrations are planned to be hosted at the Lord Jagannath temple on December 4. A preliminary survey was conducted with Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi and five warships anchored off the coast of Puri on August 11. Senior officers, including Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, visited Puri to evaluate the beach conditions and discuss logistics with the district administration. The Navy plans to conduct a drill operation, featuring air shows and commando operations, demonstrating various military manoeuvres.
