New Delhi [India], September 11: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday to hand over a preliminary report on the damage caused by floods and heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Chouhan shared on social media that a central team will soon visit the affected areas to assess the damage.

Earlier, on September 5, Chouhan visited Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for two days. He conducted an aerial survey of various affected areas in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, including Budameru, Jakkampudi Milk Factory, Kandrika, Ajit Singh Nagar, and Ambapuram. He also inspected the Prakasham Barrage Dam and fields along the Krishna River, which were damaged by heavy rains.

Chouhan met with local residents, farmers, and officials to discuss the situation. He emphasized that both central and state governments are working around the clock to provide relief and normalize the situation. Chouhan personally entered the floodwaters in Jakkampudi to talk to local people and gather information about the submerged areas.

He assured that the Central Government is closely monitoring the flood situation and is committed to helping the affected people in every possible way. Teams from both state and central governments are continuously visiting the flood-affected areas to assess the situation and provide relief.
