Udhayanidhi Stalin Becomes Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Udhayanidhi is currently the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development and will now also handle the Planning and Development portfolio.

This announcement is part of a major cabinet reshuffle in the state government. Senthil Balaji has been re-inducted into the Tamil Nadu cabinet, along with Dr. Govi Chezhiaan, R. Rajendran, and S.M. Nasar.

The Governor has approved these recommendations, and the swearing-in ceremony will be held on September 29 at 3:30 pm at Raj Bhavan, Chennai.

Additionally, the Governor has approved the removal of Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj, Thiru Gingee K.S. Masthan, and Thiru K. Ramachandran from the Council of Ministers.

Earlier, on September 26, Senthil Balaji was released from Puzhal Central Prison after the Supreme Court granted him bail in a money laundering case linked to a cash-for-jobs scam. He had been in judicial custody since his arrest by the ED on June 14 last year.
