Mumbai, Maharashtra: Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray, alongside senior party leaders, introduced the ‘Vachan Nama’ for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Thackeray highlighted that many promises align with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) manifesto, but some issues required special attention. He assured the public of their commitment to fulfilling these promises, noting past successes in delivering over 90% of commitments.

On the previous day, the opposition MVA announced five key guarantees for the elections. These include the Mahalakshmi Yojana, which provides Rs 3,000 monthly to one woman per family and free bus travel for women. Rahul Gandhi introduced this scheme. The MVA also pledged to waive farmers’ loans up to Rs 3 lakh, offer a Rs 50,000 incentive for regular repayments, conduct a caste census, and work to lift the 50% reservation cap. Additionally, they promised Rs 25 lakh health insurance per family, free essential medicines, and Rs 4,000 monthly assistance for unemployed youth.

The Maharashtra assembly elections will be held on November 20, with results announced on November 23.
