Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has voiced strong opposition to the Dharavi redevelopment tender awarded to Gautam Adani. Thackeray insists that Mumbai should not be turned into ‘Adani City’ and demands that Dharavi residents receive 500-square-foot homes without displacement. He calls for the tender to be canceled if Adani cannot meet these conditions and suggests a re-tender if necessary. Thackeray also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah’s plans for Mumbai.
