Udayanidhi Stalin Launches TN-RISE to Help Rural Women Entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Minister Udayanidhi Stalin has announced a new initiative called TN-RISE to empower rural women entrepreneurs. This initiative, supported by the World Bank, aims to help women overcome challenges in finance, credit, and marketing.

What is TN-RISE?

TN-RISE is a special platform created by the Tamil Nadu Women Development Corporation. It focuses on bringing more women entrepreneurs from rural areas into the business world. The initiative offers customized market linkages, financing, and operational advice, along with high-end business incubation services.

Support from the Dravidian Movement

Stalin emphasized that TN-RISE aligns with the progressive principles of the Dravidian movement, which aims to free women from both material and cultural constraints. He expressed pride in the collaboration between the Dravidian Model government and the World Bank.

Partnerships and Training

TN-RISE has signed agreements with multinational companies like Flipkart and HP to provide guidance and training for emerging women entrepreneurs. Stalin invited more industries and entrepreneurs to join this noble cause.

Start-up Mission

The Tamil Nadu Government also announced a ‘Start-up Mission’ dedicated to assisting women entrepreneurs with finance, credit, and marketing challenges. This mission aims to build a robust infrastructure and provide professional expertise to support women-led rural businesses.

The launch event gathered key stakeholders from the government, industry leaders, investors, and aspiring women entrepreneurs, setting the stage for TN-RISE to drive growth and success for women-led rural enterprises.
