UAE’s Massive Relief Effort: 100 Tonnes of Supplies for Lebanon
In a remarkable show of solidarity, over 1,000 volunteers gathered at Al Bustan Hall in Fujairah for the “UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign. This initiative, directed by President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and supported by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, resulted in the collection of 100 tonnes of relief supplies, including food and shelter equipment, for Lebanon.
Leadership and Organization
The event was organized by the Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and the Fujairah Charity Association, under the supervision of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan played a key role in overseeing the campaign.

Prominent figures such as Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi and his children, along with other dignitaries from Fujairah, attended the event. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Advisor to the Ruler of Fujairah, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to providing urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

Numerous Emirati charities participated, including the Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and many others. Suhail Rashid Al Qadi highlighted the importance of giving, a value deeply rooted in Emirati culture.
