UAE’s Fifth Aid Ship Arrives in Egypt for Gaza Relief
The fifth aid ship from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached the port of Arish in Egypt’s North Sinai. This ship is part of Operation “Chivalrous Knight 3” and carries 5,112 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip. The ship departed from Al Hamriya Port in Dubai on October 30, loaded with food, shelter, medical supplies, and five ambulances. These supplies were provided by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and Al Foah Dates Company.
With this shipment, the total aid sent to Gaza exceeds 34,000 tonnes. The UAE has also launched several initiatives under Operation “Chivalrous Knight 3”, including two field hospitals, one in Gaza and another as a floating hospital near Al Arish. Additionally, five automatic bakeries have been set up, and flour has been supplied to eight existing bakeries in Gaza. Six desalination plants have been established, producing 1.2 million gallons of water daily, benefiting over 600,000 people.
Furthermore, the Joint Operations Command initiated Operation “Birds of Goodness”, successfully executing 53 airdrops of humanitarian aid to isolated areas in northern Gaza, delivering a total of 3,623 tonnes of relief supplies.
