In Dubai, a significant donation event took place at the Exhibition Centre in Expo City as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. This event saw the participation of 24 Emirati donor institutions and 4000 volunteers, who together contributed 200 tonnes of food supplies, relief materials, and shelter equipment.

It was organized by ‘Dubai Cares’ under the supervision of the ‘International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council’, chaired by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The council is dedicated to development and supporting fallen heroes’ affairs.

Tariq Al Gurg, CEO and Vice Chairman of Dubai Cares, highlighted the commitment of the UAE’s leadership, including President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in providing swift humanitarian responses globally. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also played a crucial role in overseeing these efforts.

The event included contributions from various organizations such as the Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and many others. These entities worked together to ensure that medical, food, and shelter assistance reached those in need, promoting early recovery and societal stability.
