UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Meets Egypt’s Minister Badr Abdel Ati in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi [UAE], September 9: President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE welcomed Badr Abdel Ati, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. Badr conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed reciprocated with his regards to President El-Sisi, wishing Egypt further growth and development.

The leaders discussed the close relations between the UAE and Egypt, focusing on cooperation in economic, developmental, political, and other key areas. They also addressed regional and international issues, particularly the conflict in Gaza and the humanitarian crisis there. Both sides emphasized the need for international efforts to prevent further escalation and ensure the safe delivery of essential aid.

Sheikh Mohamed and Badr Abdel Ati reiterated the importance of a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution to enhance regional security and stability. They also committed to continuing close consultation and coordination between their nations and stressed the importance of joint Arab action to address regional challenges.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs at the Presidential Court.
