UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Receives Message from Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva
Abu Dhabi [UAE], September 12: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written message from President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil concerning the relationship between their countries. The message was delivered to Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, by Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira during a meeting in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting celebrated the 50th anniversary of UAE-Brazil diplomatic relations, established in June 1974. Sheikh Abdullah praised the strong ties between the two nations and their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields such as economic, commercial, cultural, investment, development, and climate sectors.
They also discussed Brazil’s G20 presidency, which focuses on building a just world and a sustainable planet. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s support for the G20 priorities, including combating hunger and poverty, sustainable development, energy transformations, and global governance.
Additionally, the ministers exchanged views on regional and international developments. Following the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah hosted a dinner banquet in honor of the Brazilian Foreign Minister and his delegation. The event was attended by several UAE officials, including Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Ahmed Al Sayegh, Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri.
