UAE Prepares for 2024 Paris Olympics Showjumping
Support from Sheikh Mansour and Sheikha Fatima
Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, announced that equestrian sports in the UAE have made significant progress. This advancement is largely due to the support of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Speaking about the preparations for the showjumping competition in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi emphasized Sheikh Mansour’s role in enabling UAE nationals to acquire top skills and practices for global competitiveness.
He also praised Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Fatima bint Mubarak Women Sports Academy, Abu Dhabi Ladies Club, and Al Ain Ladies Club, and founder of Al Shiraa Stables, for her support of the showjumping team. He commended the efforts of Al Shiraa Stables in preparing riders for international championships.
Al Raisi highlighted the importance of international showjumping championships held in Dubai, Sharjah, and Al Ain, and the role of local equestrian clubs in developing the sport. He noted that the UAE’s progress in equestrian sports is due to a comprehensive partnership between the federation and specialized clubs, which have implemented advanced programs and training courses for national riders.
