UAE Launches ‘The UAE Stands with Lebanon’ Campaign
Introduction
Under the guidance of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the supervision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a new philanthropic campaign has been launched by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative aims to support the people of Lebanon.
Campaign Details
The campaign, titled “The UAE Stands with Lebanon,” will run from October 8 to October 21. It seeks to involve the UAE community, including institutions and both public and private sector organizations, in providing aid to Lebanon.
Leadership’s Commitment
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s commitment to assisting Lebanon during its humanitarian crisis. He expressed confidence in the UAE community’s willingness to support those in need.
Relief Efforts
In addition to the campaign, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered a relief aid package worth USD 100 million. The UAE has dispatched six planes carrying 205 tonnes of medical supplies, food, and shelter equipment to Lebanon, in collaboration with international organizations like WHO, UNICEF, and the Red Cross.
