UAE Launches National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024-2025

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has officially started the National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024-2025. This survey aims to collect accurate data on the health and nutrition of the UAE population. The survey will help update health databases and measure health performance indicators.

Survey Details

The survey involves 20,000 families and 2,000 workers, including 40% Emirati citizens and 60% expats. It targets various age groups, including the elderly, adults over 18, females aged 15 to 49, pregnant women, and children from one day to 17 years old.

Survey Teams

The survey teams can be identified by their uniforms and ID cards. They will collect data through personal interviews using electronic questionnaires available in Arabic, English, Hindi, and Urdu. The data will be used to develop health policies and improve public health services.

Goals and Vision

Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Public Health Sector, emphasized that the data collected will help enhance health service quality and support the UAE’s vision of a world-class health system by 2031. Alia Zaid Harbi, Director of the Statistics and Research Center, highlighted the survey’s adherence to international standards and the ministry’s commitment to data confidentiality.
