Abu Dhabi, UAE – Salem Al Jaberi, the Assistant Minister for Security and Military Affairs, has confirmed that the Sudanese army attacked the residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum, causing significant damage. This act violates the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which protects diplomatic premises. Al Jaberi presented evidence proving the attack, countering the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ false claims.

He criticized the Sudanese Armed Forces for avoiding accountability for the humanitarian crisis in Sudan and misleading the international community. The UAE is working with partners to find a peaceful solution. Al Jaberi highlighted the Sudanese Armed Forces’ refusal to take responsibility, showing disregard for the Sudanese people’s suffering and desire for stability.

Al Jaberi invited UN experts to review the evidence and damage. He thanked over 100 countries and international organizations for condemning the attack and supporting the UAE.
