UAE Achieves High Vitality Score of 72.5 Amid Rising Challenges, Says Cigna Study
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has maintained a high vitality score of 72.5, according to the latest Cigna International Health Study. Leah Cotterill, CEO of Cigna Healthcare MEA, highlighted that while the UAE shows strong vitality, concerns about mental well-being, social connectivity, and financial health are increasing. These issues require attention from employers to ensure a balanced work-life environment.
The study, which included over 10,000 participants from 11 global markets, assessed eight key factors: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. The UAE’s focus on whole-person health and supportive environments has contributed to its high vitality score for the second consecutive year.
Leah Cotterill emphasized the UAE’s commitment to well-being through initiatives like the National Strategy for Well-being 2031, which focuses on mental health, community cohesion, and financial stability. Cigna Healthcare supports this vision by offering health solutions that address physical, mental, and financial health.
The study’s findings were presented at an event with the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai, where leaders discussed the implications and solutions for the UAE workforce’s challenges. Discussions included mental health issues and financial pressures affecting employees, with experts suggesting holistic well-being programs for companies.
