In Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, two women named Asha Pandey and Mamata Pandey were partially buried by murrum from a dumper truck while they were protesting against road construction. The incident took place in Hinauta village and was captured on video, which went viral on social media.

The video shows one woman buried up to her shoulders and the other up to her waist, crying for help as family members rushed to rescue them. The women claimed they were assaulted and buried when they protested the road construction.

According to the police, the women sat behind the dumper truck to protest and got partially buried when murrum was off-loaded on them. Both women were safely rescued, taken to a hospital for treatment, and later discharged.

Rewa SP Vivek Singh stated that a case under Section 110 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (for attempt to murder) has been registered against three individuals: Praveen (the dumper truck driver), Gokaran Pandey (the father-in-law of one of the victims), and Bipin Pandey (another family member). Bipin has been taken into custody, and the dumper truck has been seized.

DIG Rewa Range, Saket Prakash Pandey, mentioned that both the accused and victims are from the same family and that there was a dispute among the Pandey family members. The truck driver was off-loading murrum for road construction on farmland belonging to Gokaran Pandey, the father-in-law of one of the victims and the complainant in the case, Asha Pandey.

The police are continuing their investigation and are trying to gather more footage to identify other suspects involved in the incident.
