The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticized the BJP-led central government and the Ministry of Railways following two train accidents in India. The first incident occurred on Thursday when a passenger train derailed in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in 3 deaths and 30 injuries. Several coaches of the Dibrugarh Express train derailed, causing significant damage.

The second incident took place on Friday evening when a goods train derailed in Valsad, Gujarat, affecting rail services on the route. The AAP expressed their concerns on social media, highlighting the frequent occurrence of train accidents and questioning the response of the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister.

North Eastern Railway confirmed the casualties and injuries from the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailment. CPRO North Eastern Railway Pankaj Kumar stated, “The final update that we have as official figures is that three deaths have occurred. Seven more are grievously injured and five have simple injuries.”

The Ministry of Railways announced compensation for the victims: Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased, Rs 2.5 lakh for those with grievous injuries, and Rs 50,000 for minor injuries. Additionally, a high-level inquiry has been ordered to investigate the accidents.
