Two CRPF Jawans Killed in Naxalite IED Blast in Chhattisgarh

Two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed on Sunday in an IED blast planted by Naxalites between Silger and Tekulagudem in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. The jawans were identified as Vishnu R (35) from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and Shailendra (29) from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The jawans were part of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) 201 battalion, a specialized force for guerrilla and jungle warfare. The incident occurred at 3 pm during a road opening duty from Camp Silger to Camp Tekalgudem.

Meanwhile, security forces recovered fake currency notes and printing equipment from Naxalites in Sukma. Earlier, four Naxals were killed and two arrested in Jharkhand’s Chaibasa, including a zonal commander and an area commander.
