Two children in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, died after eating food at a wedding in Satyalta village on July 31. They experienced vomiting and diarrhoea before passing away.

Details of the Incident

Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia explained that the children complained of vomiting and diarrhoea after consuming the food. He said, “As per the information we have received, they had consumed food at a wedding function on July 31. They complained of vomiting and diarrhoea today. 2 children were brought dead.”

Investigation Underway

Joginder Singh Jasrotia mentioned that food poisoning is suspected as the cause of the incident. A high-level inquiry has been initiated to investigate the matter thoroughly. A team has been formed on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and has been directed to submit the report within a day.
