In a tragic incident, two soldiers from Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, Sanapala Jagadeeswara Rao and Donkari Rajesh, lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.
About the Soldiers
Sanapala Jagadeeswara Rao, aged 40, hailed from Vallabharayudupet village in Nandigam mandal. He joined the Army in March 2003 and was set to retire in three years. He leaves behind his wife, Samatha Dimilada, and two daughters, Mokshapriya and Dikshitha. Samatha works at the village secretariat.
Donkari Rajesh, aged 26, was from Mekrem Tandra village of Santabommali mandal.
Family and Community Reactions
Jagadeeswara Rao’s family was informed of his death by army officials on Monday morning. His elder brother, Vigneswara Rao, expressed both sorrow and pride over his brother’s sacrifice. He shared that Jagadeeswara Rao had planned to buy a Royal Enfield motorcycle after returning home.
Uncles Venkatarao and Rajarao also expressed their deep sorrow, remembering him as a friendly and beloved family member.
Final Arrangements
Jagadeeswara Rao’s body will arrive in his village on Wednesday, and the family is making arrangements for his last rites.
