Two Arrested in Indore for Assaulting Army Officer and Friend

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, two men, Pawan Vasunia (23) and Anil Barud (27), were arrested for assaulting an Army officer and his friend. They were produced before the Mhow court and sent to police custody for five days.

Badgonda police station in-charge Lokendra Singh stated that the accused, residents of Manpur, will be interrogated regarding the incident. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining four accomplices.

The incident took place at the Army firing range in Indore, where the officer’s female friend was also allegedly assaulted. Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal mentioned that 10 police teams conducted investigations and identified six suspects. Two have been arrested, and efforts are underway to catch the remaining four.

SP Vasal added that the complainant heard screams from their female friend, leading them to suspect something untoward had happened. The women’s statements are yet to be recorded for further action.
