Trishakti Corps Women’s Motorcycle Expedition in North Bengal and Sikkim

The Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army organized a motorcycle expedition from June 18 to 24, featuring women riders from Iron Horses Academy in New Delhi. The journey aimed to empower women, honor Indian Army Bravehearts, and promote tourism in North Bengal and Sikkim.

Journey Highlights

The riders embarked on a remarkable journey through the majestic hills of Sikkim, visiting Nathu La and New Baba Mandir. They paid homage at the Ganju Lama War Memorial and concluded their expedition in Gangtok, where they interacted with girls NCC cadets of the 3 NCC Battalion.

Exploring Challenging Terrains

The expedition explored the diverse and challenging terrains of East Sikkim, showcasing the spirit of adventure and camaraderie. The riders also traveled through the Dooar area of North Bengal, reaching the Indo Bhutan border and engaging with local women and NCC girl cadets.

Workshops and Homage

The team paid homage at the Damdim War Memorial and conducted a workshop on ‘Safe Riding of Two Wheelers’. The expedition was flagged in at Sukna on June 24.

These women riders are breaking barriers and paving the way for a more inclusive future. The Trishakti Corps Indian Army, while guarding the borders, is contributing to nation-building efforts by empowering women.
