Tripura Police’s Major Drug Busts Applauded by Chief Minister Manik Saha
In a significant operation, the Tripura Police successfully intercepted a vehicle in Panisagar town, North Tripura district, seizing 150,000 Yaba tablets valued at Rs 3.75 crore. The vehicle was coming from a neighboring state, and one person has been detained with a case registered under the NDPS Act. Chief Minister Manik Saha praised the police on social media for their efforts in keeping the community safe from drugs.
Earlier, on November 2, the Ambassa Police in Dhalai district seized 80,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 2 crore. Acting on secret information, they detained a vehicle and arrested the driver, leading to the drug seizure. CM Saha commended the Ambassa Police for their diligent work against drug trafficking.
