In Agartala, Tripura, police have made a significant drug bust and arrested a person in the Fultoli Naya Para area. On Tuesday morning, acting on a tip-off, police raided the home of Debjit Bhoumik, seizing 16,000 yaba tablets and six kilograms of marijuana. Bhoumik was arrested, and the operation was led by West District Police Superintendent Kiran Kumar, Amtali SDPO, and Officer-in-Charge Sitikanta Bardhan. Dr. Kumar revealed that the drugs’ market value is approximately 4.2 million taka. The police are continuing their investigation to dismantle the local drug network.

In a separate operation, five illegal immigrants were detained at Agartala Railway Station on Monday. This joint operation involved the Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, Border Security Force, and intelligence agencies. The detained individuals include two Bangladeshi and three Myanmar nationals who had entered India illegally from Bangladesh and were attempting to travel to other Indian states.
