Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 25: Tripura police, in collaboration with the 42nd battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), have arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in human trafficking. The arrests took place at Belabor Border Road under Amtali Police Station on Saturday night.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Liton Mia and Sajal Mia. They were apprehended in connection with a case registered at the Agartala GRP station. Further investigations are currently underway.

In a related incident, a Bangladeshi woman named Khadija Begum, aged 36 and a resident of Brahmanbaria district in Bangladesh, was also arrested for her alleged involvement in human trafficking. She was apprehended in West Tripura’s Charipara area during a joint operation by the GRP, BSF Unit 42, and Amtali Police Station on Saturday afternoon.
