Tripura CM Manik Saha Prepares for First-Ever Kidney Transplant and Inaugurates Blood Donation Camp

On Sunday evening, Chief Minister Manik Saha visited GB Pant Hospital in Agartala, Tripura, to assess preparations for the state’s first-ever kidney transplantation, scheduled for Monday, July 8. CM Saha, who is also the Health Minister of Tripura, interacted with the kidney donor and recipient, offering them encouragement and support. He also discussed the preparations with doctors and hospital officials, expressing confidence in the medical team’s capabilities.

This event marks a significant milestone in Tripura’s healthcare sector, highlighting the state’s progress in advanced medical care.

Earlier in the day, on National Doctor’s Day and Jagannath Rath Yatra, CM Saha inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by the Indian Medical Association at IMA House in Agartala. He praised doctors for their dedication and emphasized the importance of their work, encouraging them to continue serving people at all times. He also thanked the organizers, blood donors, and the team collecting the blood.
