Tripura CM Manik Saha Leads BJP Membership Drive with Over 5 Lakh New Members
Agartala (Tripura), September 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) membership drive in Tripura has seen an overwhelming response, with 5,18,994 people joining the party. Chief Minister Manik Saha announced this milestone on social media, expressing gratitude to party workers and members for their efforts.
On September 24, 4,00,000 people had already joined the BJP. The campaign has generated enthusiastic participation across the state, from Dharmanagar to Sabroom. CM Saha is personally engaging with the public to support the initiative, which aims to strengthen the party’s organizational base while managing governance.
Speaking about the drive, CM Saha mentioned that the goal is to enroll around 1.2 million members in Tripura, with a target of 500 new members at each booth. He expressed confidence in meeting this target, noting that the membership process is available online until September 25.
The membership drive was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 2, and CM Saha began the campaign in Tripura the following day. Previously, approximately 650,000 people had accepted membership in the BJP, and the target has been increased this year both in Tripura and at the central level.
CM Saha urged the people of Tripura to join the membership drive, highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment of party workers and members in shaping India’s future.
