Tripura CM Manik Saha Launches Beautification Projects in Agartala

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha laid the foundation stone for various projects of the Agartala Municipal Corporation on Monday. These projects aim to beautify and develop Shiv Bari Pond, Veterinary Hospital Lake, and Ujan Abhoynagar Bazar Pond in Agartala.

While speaking at the event, CM Saha mentioned that 90% of the funding for these projects comes from the central government, with the remaining 10% provided by the state. He also noted that the central government has already provided around Rs 500 crore for smart city projects in the state.

CM Saha shared that during his recent meeting with Prime Minister Modi, the PM assured him of further support for the state’s development. The event was attended by AMC Commissioner Sailesh Yadav, Corporator Ratna Dey, and other dignitaries.

These projects are part of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 scheme. Additionally, the Tripura government announced plans to release 10,000 job opportunities after the panchayat elections, including positions in the Tripura Police and Junior Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT).
