Tripura CM Manik Saha Inaugurates Jagannath Rath Yatra Mela in Melaghar
On Sunday, Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, inaugurated the historic Jagannath Rath Yatra Mela in Melaghar town, Sipahijala district. The event will last for nine days, concluding on July 14, 2024.

The festival is organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs and the Melaghar Municipal Corporation. A major highlight is the grand 58-foot chariot for Lord Jagannath, which attracts many devotees and visitors.

Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with other dignitaries, officially opened the festival by lighting a ceremonial lamp. This was followed by speeches from prominent figures such as Anup Deb, Chief Executive Officer of Melaghar Municipal Council, and MLA Kishor Barman of Nalchar.
