Tripura CM Manik Saha Honors Freedom Fighters and Soldiers at Albert Ekka War Memorial

On August 13, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha paid homage to the selfless sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and fearless soldiers who protected India’s sovereignty at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. The event was attended by Bharatiya Janata Party state president and other political leaders.

Addressing the gathering, CM Manik Saha said, “Their bravery and patriotism will forever be etched in our hearts.” He also shared his sentiments on social media, writing, “Tribute to the unsung heroes! Today, I honored the selfless sacrifices of countless freedom fighters & fearless soldiers who protected India’s sovereignty at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. Their bravery & patriotism will forever be etched in our hearts.”

Additionally, CM Saha hoisted the national flag at his official residence as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He invited citizens to participate in this patriotic initiative, which aims to have the tricolor national flag hoisted at every house. The campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, started in 2021 to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged citizens to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a mass movement by hoisting the national flag at their homes. He changed his social media profile picture to the tricolor and encouraged others to do the same.
