Tripura CM Manik Saha Honors Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Launches Dental Health Initiatives

On July 6, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha paid homage to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, on his 123rd birth anniversary at the BJP State Karyalay in Agartala. Saha praised Mookerjee as a great patriot who laid down his life for India’s integrity and sovereignty.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Delhi President Virendraa Sachdeva, and many Parliamentarians also paid tribute to Mookerjee.

Later, CM Saha inaugurated the State Level Training Programme for Dental Surgeons at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala. The event, organized by the National Oral Health Programme under the National Health Mission, Tripura, in association with the Indian Dental Association, Tripura State Branch, introduced teleconsultation services for dental and oral health issues.

CM Saha also launched new websites for the Tripura State Dental Council, Agartala Government Dental College, and Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital to provide streamlined access to information and services. The event saw participation from dental professionals, healthcare administrators, and policymakers.
