Tripura CM Manik Saha Focuses on Transparent Recruitment and Training
In Agartala, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced efforts to fill vacant government positions, prioritizing transparency and importance. Speaking at an event for new Tripura Civil Service and Police Service officers, CM Saha emphasized the government’s transparency, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approach. He highlighted the shift from political connections to merit-based recruitment through written exams.
CM Saha addressed pending promotions due to court cases, offering a one-time promotion to resolve the issue. He noted the improvement in communication systems, which previously required personal approaches for transfers. The recruitment process under the Tripura Public Service Commission was cleared by 2022, marking a significant achievement.
Training and experience are crucial, according to CM Saha, with officials being sent to places like Mysore for training. He stressed the importance of understanding government schemes and coordinating with departments. So far, 1,742 individuals have been recruited through TPSC, with steps taken to fill 745 vacant posts. Additionally, 916 constable positions and various veterinary and assistant roles are being addressed.
