Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 3: To ensure the Rath Yatra and Ulta Rath Yatra on July 7 and 15 are conducted safely, the Tripura government is taking strict precautionary measures. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan held a crucial meeting via video conference with district magistrates and senior officials.

The Chief Minister called on all organizers and the public to cooperate with the administration. He stated on his official X handle, “The state administration is taking utmost precautions to avoid any untoward incident on the holy Rath Yatra and Ulta Rath Yatra to be held on July 7 and 15.”

He added, “In this regard today, through video conferencing, I will preside over an important meeting with the district magistrates and high-ranking officials of all the districts of the state and give necessary instructions.”

The Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot festival, is as old as the Jagannath Temple in Puri. Celebrated globally, it marks the journey of the Holy Trinity to their maternal aunt, Goddess Gundicha Devi’s Temple, and their return after eight days.
