Tripura CM Manik Saha Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya
On Saturday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the 75th anniversary celebration of Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya in Kailashahar, Tripura. Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya, the second oldest college in Tripura, was established on September 1, 1950, under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission.
In a post on X, CM Saha extended his best wishes to the students, alumni, and faculty members. He said, “Today, I attended the 75th-anniversary celebration of this prestigious institution and extended my best wishes to the present students, alumni, faculty members, and all the local people.”
During the event, CM Saha inaugurated a photo exhibition showcasing the golden history of the college and a blood donation camp.
Flood Relief Package Announcement
Earlier, CM Saha announced a special package of Rs 564 crore for the flood-affected areas in Tripura. He highlighted the extensive damage caused by recent floods to roads, bridges, power lines, agriculture, and homes. The initial damage estimate is around Rs 14,247 crore.
CM Saha stated that district magistrates and departmental officers are assessing the actual damage, and the state government will request additional funds from the Union Home Ministry for relief and rehabilitation. The financial package aims to provide immediate relief and recovery across various sectors.
