Nigeria awarded PM Modi during his visit, making him the second foreign dignitary to receive this honor after Queen Elizabeth in 1969. This is the 17th international award for PM Modi.

During his visit, PM Modi was warmly welcomed in Abuja by Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister for Federal Capital Territory, and was presented with the ‘Key to the City’, symbolizing trust and honor from the Nigerian people. This visit marks the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years.

PM Modi’s visit to Nigeria is part of a three-nation tour, including Brazil and Guyana, from November 17 to November 21.
